Leighton Forrester, MD, is a skilled and compassionate board-certified cardiologist. He brings years of experience and knowledge to the Capitol Cardiology Associates team in Largo, Maryland.
Dr. Forrester attended medical school at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. In 1993, he completed his internship, residency, and chief residency at MedStar Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Forrester also completed his fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at MedStar Georgetown University in 1996.
Dr. Forrester has practiced in the local area for the past 18 years. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the Montgomery County Medical Society, and the Association of Black Cardiologists.
His medical interests include adjunctive and alternative approaches to treating cardiovascular diseases and strategies for patient empowerment and improving patient outcomes.
Dr. Forrester speaks French and enjoys photography, exercise, music, and French literature. He looks forward to treating patients at his Largo, Maryland office.
