Jan D Foushee, MD, FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist at Capitol Cardiology Associates. She specializes in cardiovascular disease, cardiology, and internal medicine from two offices in Bowie and Lanham, Maryland. Dr. Foushee provides all her patients with excellent care.

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Foushee spent the majority of her childhood in Greensboro, North Carolina. She graduated from Southeast Guilford High School as valedictorian.

She entered the six-year combined bachelor's and doctoral degree program at Howard University, where she graduated with honors, Phi Beta Kappa, and Summa Cum Laude. Upon graduation in 1987 from Howard University College of Medicine, she started her internship at Howard University Hospital, where she completed an internal medicine residency and cardiology.

Dr. Foushee then moved to San Francisco for a one-year echocardiography fellowship at the University of San Francisco, California, at Moffitt Hospital.

She has served the Prince George’s County community for several years, working at Prince George’s Hospital Center as the associate program director of the internal medicine residency program.

Dr. Foushee is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiology. She is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and a fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP).

She is dedicated to patient care in the practice of cardiology and committed to providing the highest standard of cardiovascular care to her patients.
