Prescription Policy

Whether you are a new patient or one of our established patients, our doctors will ask you AT EVERY VISIT whether you need refills on your medication. If you are on maintenance medications, we want to ensure that you have the proper medicine available to you at all times. We are partners in your healthcare and realize that your well-being depends on an uninterrupted supply of your medications.

We feel that the best way to accomplish this is to personally give you your prescriptions at the time of your visit. This will have the added benefit of creating an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about your medications. We ask that you bring all your medications with you at your next appointment (in their original containers please). This too will allow the doctors to review what combination of medications you may be taking.

If for any reason you need a refill before your next appointment, we ask that you call your pharmacy and have them fax a REFILL REQUEST to (301) 552-1202. The refill request will then be given to the doctor for authorization and faxed back to the pharmacy.

If you lose a prescription, please call us immediately and we will set up a convenient time for you to come to the office and receive a replacement.

Please feel free to ask the doctors any questions about our new policy.

WE WILL NO LONGER ROUTINELY REFILL BY PHONE REQUEST.
